Biological and ecological features of the species: The transparent goby has a very small body, that is elongated and flat at the sides. Its fins are short and it is yellow-translucent in colour, tending to pink (especially when the goby are in shoals). Its head is speckled with black, the gill covers are reddish. A small air bubble is between the muscles of its belly.
